General information |
| The mission of
the School is to give enterprising people a chance to multiply their
intellectual potential, enabling them to attain their goals. |
| The School
gained termless accreditation on 08.05.1997. The members of the
Accreditation Commission such as prof. Pyer Giduccelly (University
of Sorbona, France) and prof. Keneth Smith (USA) have marked
positively the rapid development of the institution towards the
international standards in higher education. |
| The School
issues Graduation Diplomas acknowledged by the state as well as
Diploma Supplement which is recognized internationally. |

| Foundation |

School of Business
Administration Turiba Ltd. was founded in 1993. It is one of the first
and the largest private institutions of higher education in the Baltic
States. Turiba started to be erected just in time of the renewal of
Latvian state, when the necessity of a new type of dynamic education
appeared.
After a careful analysis of other Higher Educational Institutions
in Latvia and their academic and professional programmes as well as an
experience gained abroad, School of Business Administration Turiba was
set up as an educational establishment where secondary comprehensive
and professional, higher academic and professional, postgraduate and
adult education can be obtained. |
| At present the
institution provides modern, complex, multi-stage education
competitive not only within the Latvian but also the international
labour market. |

Administration |
The founders of
the institution are the Central Cooperative Association «Turiba» and «Birznieka Biznesa Centrs Ltd.». The highest decision-making body is
the general meeting of founders. Decisions of the general meeting are
taken to execution by the board. Daily operations are supervised by
the chairman and deputy chairman of the Board and the Rector. Whole
staff of the School of Business Administration Turiba is 530.

All-embracing system of the quality management has been introduced at
the institution. Quality management is used as a general term to
include not only evaluation and accreditation, but as the total
actions and mechanisms through which the quality of the whole entity
is maintained and developed. |
